2012 RIVIERA BAY CIVIC EVENTS

APRIL14 ANNUAL CANAL & AREA CLEANUP 234 SUNLIT COVE DR NE BOAT RAMP 8:30am to Noonish (keeping ramp open as much as possible) We continue to set records each year for most trash collected, most recycled & most volunteers. I know we can top it this year, so please come out to help clean up your neighborhood. Once again, FREE Coffee, Donuts & Sausage McMuffins will be supplied around 8:00am to get everyone off to a great start at 8:30 and lunch will be provided around 12 noon. We need as many volunteer’s as possible around 7:30am to help with set-up, check-in, check-out equip, pickup donated food & coffee, pick or get assigned a clean-up area, and break down afterwards. Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the RBCA will supply all the bags, gloves, pickers, water, bug spray, etc, and everything needed for a very productive day. We will also have 2 large dumpsters at that location and we will be recycling all the glass, plastic and metal collected, so please leave that material on the side of the dumpster and we’ll take care of that before the Mon, April 16 dumpster pickup time. This is also a perfect opportunity to get those high school community service hours needed to graduate. Anyone with a pickup truck or a small boat is encouraged to participate, but you don’t need a boat, canoe, truck, kayak, paddleboat, or even an inner tube to join us, just bring along a desire to help the area become a better and cleaner place for everybody to live. Among other door prizes that day, we will also be giving away a rain barrel to one lucky volunteer.
